The estate museum is located among the age-old pine forest in Nalibokskaya Pushcha 75 km west of Minsk.
In XIX century there was an estate of the old noble Dzerzhinsky family called Ozemblovo-Dzerzhinovo, where the soviet revolutionary and official Feliks Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky was born and raised.
The estate was burned down by Nazis during the Great Patriotic war.
In 1963 the Dzerzhinovo estate (70 ha) was declared a natural monument of republican significance.
A memorial complex in Dzerzhinovo was opened in 1972.
Repair and restoration works were carried out in the memorial complex within 2003-2004.
In 2004 an exposition dedicated to the history of the Dzerzhinski family was housed in a residential building restored in accordance with historical documents.
The territory of the estate museum is 6.67 ha
The complex includes the sign and the plan of the estate, the alley of 49 boulder stones, which represents the number of Dzerzhinsky’s years, partly preserved and renovated with natural stone foundation of buildings which used to be here, the bronze bust of F.E. Dzerzhinsky, mounted on a granite pedestal, well frame, cellar.
The museum was given a current name in 2011.
